Community Bible Study

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible.Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

Our class does offer groups for the Deaf community. We currently have many deaf participants, and deaf & blind participants.

Join us for our ice cream social kickoff event on Tuesday, August 20, at 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. You can register, pick up your study book, learn more about us, and meet our CBS leaders and other participants.

Currently Studying: Matthew

For the 2024-2025 Bible study year, we will study the book of Matthew. Matthew was written by the power of the Holy Spirit, primarily to his fellow Jews, and proves through Scripture that Jesus’s life and ministry fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah. In studying this Gospel, you can clearly hear Matthew’s message: Jesus is indeed the long-awaited Jewish Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Immanuel, God with us!

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. Our offerings are tailored to a child’s developmental stage, starting with babies, and going through high school. Beginning in our elementary classes, our curriculum can be aligned with an adult class so that parents and their children may study the same Book of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives.
